Scientific Agenda
Management of wildfire events benefit intensely from the addition of new technologies to enable first responders and landscape managers to plan, prevent and mitigate the outcome of fire events. High Altitude Pseudo Satellites (HAPS) provide an unparalleled advantage when it comes to Earth Observation, as not only can it provide highly accurate data thanks to its low flight altitude, but also the persistency over an area of interest, with the ability to provide uninterrupted real time data over day and night, providing a “hook in the sky” that can provide both connectivity capabilities and a wide range of observation sensors to assist with firefighting and prevention tasks.
